Dr. Reed is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine within the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition. She obtained her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from The University of Georgia. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Alpert Medical School at Brown University and returned to Georgia for a post-doctoral fellowship through Emory University School of Medicine and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She has an active line of research focused on applying psychological science to improve disease outcomes and quality of life in youth with GI disorders. Clinically, she specializes in use of psychological treatments for youth diagnosed with GI disorders with expertise in cognitive-behavioral therapy, family systems, and pain-management.
